AN OAP had kitchen cleaner sprayed in their face during a horrifying robbery by a gang of thugs.
The man in his 70s was the victim of the "appalling and cowardly" attack outside his Lancashire home.
The four people – who were all wearing surgical face masks – approached the pensioner claiming to be looking for a lost dog.
Police said the robbers then pulled the man's arm and sprayed the corrosive cleaner.
It is understood the masked gang went through the man's pockets before going into his home.
The OAP didn't need hospital treatment but was left "shaken" and bruised.
