Hulen Mall news: Police rush to scene in Fort Worth in hunt for suspects

COPS are searching Hulen Mall in Fort Worth on Tuesday afternoon for suspects.

A large police presence descended on the mall as shoppers and employees were evacuated and businesses closed.

Police released no further details on the suspects or on what had taken place.

The suspects are believed to be in or near the Texas mall.

It is unclear how many people cops are searching for.

At least eight police cruisers outside a mall entrance as of 12.45pm local time, according to CBS Fort Worth.

The mall was reportedly packed with Christmas shoppers as police arrived.

Some were seen hugging in the parking lot after they were evacuated.

"Mall patrons and employees are being escorted out of the location while officers conduct a sweep for everyone's safety," Fort Worth police said.

"Businesses will be opened as soon as it is safe.

"Police actively looking for suspects in or near the mall in relation to a separate incident," it added.

No shots were fired in the mall despite reports posted to social media.

There were also no reports of any injuries.
