Drunk banker stripped in dock during sentencing for domestic abuse

Banker, 48, who got drunk on his way to court to be sentenced for beating up his partner fell off his chair then stripped in the dock while shouting that he used to be a Royal Marine

A banker who stopped off at the pub while on his way to be sentenced for beating up his partner stripped in the dock while shouting about being a former Royal Marine.

Darren Taylor, from Banstead in Surrey, was so intoxicated that he fell off his chair and couldn’t answer his own name when asked at Guildford Crown Court.

The domestic abuser, 48, stayed on the floor and began to swear at those around him, reports Surrey Live. 

Court security pulled him to his feet but he then started to direct his foul-mouthed tirade at the judge and his victim.

Taylor, who was convicted of assaulting and stalking his partner, took off his jacket and tie before throwing them towards the public gallery where his victim was sat.

He managed to tear off his shirt, his trousers and his underwear before security could remove him.

During this time he shouted about being a former marine and swore repeatedly at his victim.

The hearing was adjourned until June 13 because Taylor was in no fit state to be sentenced.
