A coroner has reportedly dropped the investigation into the teen's deaths after he had passed away following a "short illness".

Archie was found dead at his family home in West London in September.

West London's Coroners told the Mirror: "The Coroner's investigation into Archie's death has been discontinued and no inquest will be required.'"

Archie had been acting since he was 11 and was the son of of Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst.

Archie's devastated mum Lucy and Nicholas laid their son to rest at a "tiny chapel" in November.

Their statement read: “Lucy and I are utterly grief stricken and respectfully request privacy."

It is unclear why the inquest into Archie's death has been discontinued.

The pain of our loss is beyond anything we have ever felt before, and wouldn’t wish upon anyone

It comes after Lucy shared a heartbreaking post onnline over waiting for answers on the cause of her son Archie's death.

In a lengthy post, she wrote: "It is with the heaviest heart that I write this post. Nine weeks ago our dearest boy Archie was taken from us way too early. We still have no answer as to what happened but wait patiently for the report to be written up in the next 10 weeks.

"The pain of our loss is beyond anything we have ever felt before, and wouldn’t wish upon anyone. Archie was, and remains our absolute world. He was the most beautiful extraordinary human being we have ever known. To have him as our son has been nothing but an utter joy and honour.

"Tonight at 6pm Nick and I shall be with him in a tiny chapel to send him on the first part of his next journey. If you get a moment maybe you’d like to light a candle or take a minute just to remember him. We’ve never known anyone live like Archie. He cherished and absorbed every moment he had.

"Until we meet again our darling magical boy. We will love you forever and ever and will be forever grateful for choosing us to be your parents. We were beyond lucky. Thank you for every smile, hug, laugh, conversation we loved them all. Your kindness and generosity knew no bounds.

"You were the best teacher we ever had. We miss you every minute of everyday. As you would say my darling. “In a bizzle”. “ Love You."

Archie's girlfrined also paid tribute at the time.

Actress Nethra Tilakumara spoke about how Archie made her feel like the "luckiest girl in the world".

She wrote: "There was once a boy named Archie Lyndhurst and he made me the happiest girl in the whole wide world," adding: "Boyfriend doesn’t do it justice. Archie you were my Person and Best friend all in one."

Samuel was Archie's best friend and starred alongside him in So Awkward.

In the heartfelt tribute, he wrote: "To my brother Archie. I still can’t quite comprehend that you have passed. You still had so much life to live and I’d give anything for you to keep on living it.

“My heart aches all day and everyday thinking about you and I just wish I could talk to you just one more time so you could know how much I loved you.

“I vow to make you proud with every last breath. Love you from now until infinity. Rest in power bro.”

Describing Archie’s death as “devastating”, he added: “I wish you could’ve all known Archie how we knew him. I’ve never met someone so full of life and had touched so many peoples’ hearts.

“To be honest, I still can’t find the words that do him justice and show how much of a beautiful soul he was, but his mission was to make as many people happy as he could and trust me, he really really did."
