Kate and Toby Damon might be navigating rough waters on This Is Us, but in real life, star Chrissy Metz just made her new relationship social media official. Who is the mystery man by Metz’s side?
Chrissy Metz’s previous relationships
Life in the public eye comes with all the opinions and scrutiny about who’s dating who. For This Is Us star Metz, previous relationships haven’t always been covered correctly — and she didn’t hesitate to correct the misinformation.
Metz’s and music composer Hal Rosenfeld dated in 2018. Headlines stated in recent months about their breakup alluding to the fact that they’ve been together all this time.
“For the record, we actually broke up almost two years ago… can’t believe everything you read. #LateToTheParty,” Metz wrote on her Instagram Story, per Today.com. The two reportedly ended things amicably.
Prior to the relationship with Rosenfeld, Metz dated This Is Us cameraman, Josh Stancil. They split in early 2018.
“We’re still friends. We’re still friendly,” Metz said on The Wendy Williams Show at the time. “I’m always friends with people who I was previously with, which is important to me, you know? Because you care about the person. You don’t just dump them off.”
Who is Metz’s new boyfriend?
What better way to celebrate a new relationship than by making it Instagram official on National Boyfriend Day? That’s exactly what Metz did on Saturday, Oct. 3 when she shared her first public lovefest for her new gut, Bradley Collins.
“Happy #nationalboyfriendday to my dreamboat! Bradley, from the first moment I laid eyes on you I wanted and needed to know you. Now I feel so lucky to love you. You can #Collinsmesmitten for sure! Thank you for being the absolute wonder that you are, I love you,” Metz captioned her photos.
E! News stated the two began dating in May of this year — two months after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shut everything down.
This Is Us co-star Mandy Moore commented on the post saying, “You deserve it all, Chrissy,” Moore wrote. “So happy for you and can’t wait to meet you, @bradley_collins!!!”
Nashville native Collins works as a broker at Equitable Property Company, LLC, according to his LinkedIn page. His background includes attending Samford University, working as a creative manager for a Sony/ATV Music Publishing firm, and as an associate director of publisher relations later on.
Collins eventually moved up to the executive director and founded the independent publishing company, King Song. With experience as an artist manager at ROAR, clearly, he and Metz share a love for all things music.
Metz and Collins celebrated the big 4-0 together
Metz made the relationship public on Oct. 3, but Collins jumped the gun and posted a couple of days prior to celebrate Metz’s 40th birthday in Nashville.
“Happy Birthday to my love, Chrissy. From our first date in May, you’ve had me #Metzmerized with love, laughter and kindness,” Bradley wrote. “You’re not the best thing that’s happened during quarantine; you’re the best that’s ever happened to me. I love you. You the Best!” he captioned a post on Instagram.
The two have the common location connection of Nashville where Metz remained in quarantine during the lockdown. There, she spent much of her time recording her debut album and launched her new Apple Music radio show, Country Faith Radio.
