Tom Jones breaks silence after The Voice fans left worried about his health

Tom Jones has broken his silence following concerns about his health from The Voice viewers.

The music legend starred on the show on the weekend and left viewers taking to social media to voice their concerns. Tom, 83, joined his fellow judges on the show including Anne-Marie, Will.I.Am and Olly Murs, on the seventh series of the programme.

However, some viewers pointed out a brown mark on the singer's face, with many sharing online that he should get it "checked". One fan wrote on X: "I hope Sir Tom has had that brown mark on his face checked out #TheVoice."

A second added: "What's that new spot on Tom's face? Hope it's ok…#TheVoice." The Welsh singer has since taken to Instagram to post a clip of him performing with contestant Stan.

Tom penned along the post: "Great to perform with the marvellous Stan on @thevoiceuk." The star has previously been open about his health after having both of his hips replaced before – one in 2017 and the other in 2022.

He previously struggled to stand for long periods of time before having the procedures done, and once said he had to sit and rest after "about four songs". At ITV's Entertainment Autumn Showcase last year, Tom revealed: "I've got to have a new hip.

"I had [my left hip] done five years ago and it worked great, so now [my right hip's] starting to go wear and tear! So, at the moment, I'm bone on bone!

"That's what the fella [doctor] told me. But I've got a tour to do in America first, I can't go in now. He said, 'Well, you should!' I said, 'I can't, I've got a show to do!'"

He also shared on Instagram: "Papa has two new hips now! For all those concerned and sent in well wishes, I am pleased to report my recent surgery went very well, I'm following orders and doing my physio, so happy to say I will be back soon!"
