The Mandalorian season 3 'to kick off filming in just a matter of days' as pics emerge of 'almost finished' Disney+ set

THE Mandalorian season 3 is set to begin filming in "just a matter of days."

New pictures have surfaced of the 'almost finished' Disney+ set in Manhattan Beach on Tuesday.

The unique architecture sits on a walled-off, sandy lot, while the finer details on the buildings look to be complete.

It also includes tables surrounding a café, while some other props surrounded a nearby storefront.

The outside the buildings appear to be finished but the interior provided fans a sneak peak behind the scenes at the wooden panels keeping the set upright.

It is currently unknown where the village will be located in the Star Wars Universe.

The new series has already been written but has yet to be given the greenlight.

However, Deadline reported last week that production on The Mandalorian season three will begin soon.

The publication also revealed pre-production has been going on for several months and filming may begin "in late November/early December."

However, an interesting YouTube video from Slovakia appears to have revealed when it may be released.

Suggesting that Mando and The Child's adventures may continue sooner rather than later, the Slovakian Disney+ YouTube channel lists The Mandalorian seasons one, two, and three as shows that will arrive in 2021.

In other news, series creator Jon Favreau recently provided fans with an update on the production of season three.

He explained: "We're operating under the assumption that we'll be able to go forward," Favreau explained, adding that the TV show is well-equipped to function amid a pandemic.

"We're in very small situations and oftentimes we have a lot of characters in masks. And we also have a lot of digital work that augments things," he said.

"So we're a show that's probably well-equipped to be flexible, based on the protocols that are emerging surrounding work restarting."

The Mandalorian season 1 and season 2 are available to stream on Disney+, with new episodes coming each week.
