The Chase’s Shaun says he worries robots will become ‘dominant force on earth’

The Chase 's Shaun Wallace, 60, has told Susanna Reid he fears artificial robots will become dominant force on earth.

The quiz master appeared on Thursday's edition of Good Morning Britain alongside Anne Hegerty to promote the final instalment of their travel show The Chasers Road Trip: Trains, Brains and Automobiles.

In episode three, which airs tonight on ITV, the Chasers are seen jetting off to Japan before visiting a factory full of state of the arts robots.

Asked if she was worried about what she saw, Anne replied: "Not really, I don't think we are in danger of clockwork cats.

"Shaun is concerned about robots tracking over the world."

Explaining his concerns, Shaun added: "I am worried we don't allow AI to get the better of human beings.

"We are always pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology but we need to make sure we don't go too far so robots don't become the most dominant force on earth."

He continued: "You never know.

"Some of the robots we saw did look human. We have to make sure we are one step ahead of the game."

During episode one of the series, viewers were left stunned after seeing Shaun naked in the bath.

Shaun, who is known by his alter-ego Dark Destroyer when on The Chase, was filmed updating his quiz knowledge as he enjoyed a long soak.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "I did not need to see The Dark Destroyer having a bath #chasersroadtrip,"

Another viewer cheekily continued: "#TheChasersRoadTrip we nearly saw his Dark Destroyer."

"#chasersroadtrip Did I just see The Destroyer's dark pubes? a third gasped.

Meanwhile, a stunned viewer tweeted: "Why have I just saw the dark destroyer practically naked in a bath #chasersroadtrip?"
