Strictlys Jayde shares final picture with late sister after emotional tribute dance

After Strictly Come Dancing's Jayde Adams dedicated her performance to her late sister Jenna on Saturday night, the comedian has taken to Instagram to share some pictures from her childhood – plus the last photo they ever took together.

Jayde, 37, and her professional dance partner Karen Hauer, 40, performed a stunning routine to Beth Midler's classic ballad, Wind Beneath My Wings.

After the performance, Jayde broke down while chatting to Claudia Winkleman, saying: ""Before she died, she asked me 'do you think people will forget me'. This means so much to me because I'm proving to her that nobody has forgotten her, and we never will."

And following the show, Jayde took to Instagram to share a further tribute to her sister with her 126,000 followers writing: "Last picture we ever had together. Her love for me was so strong, I’ll never ever feel unloved in my life.

"I will grieve my loss for her for the rest of my life, it is the most important thing that has ever happened and I am beyond grateful to be able to channel my grief through creativity, thank you @bbcstrictly @karenhauer."

Alongside the snaps of the two sisters she continued: "This is Jenna Adams everyone, she will never be forgotten. And yes she would be so proud of me, astounded @claudiawinkle said her name and very jealous I’m on Strictly, we loved this show together."

Fans of the star rushed to share their support with one saying: "I hope bet she would be equally proud and the best part jealous."

Another agreed: "Jenna would be so proud!!!!!"

And a third added: "Massive love Jayde to you and your family, Jenna would definitely be so proud."

There was also praise for Jayde and partner Karen for their American Smooth performance, especially from head judge Shirley Ballas whose brother passed away in 2003, Shirley said: "I'm just really emotional, it was graceful, you do it your way. Your lifts were great.

She added: "Thank you for doing that for everyone who has lost someone."

Before taking to the dance floor, Jayde explained that she was dedicating the dance to her late sister.

Jenna was just 23 years old when she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour after suffering a seizure, and six years later she tragically passed away.

Fighting back tears, Jayde added: "I'm so grateful and lucky that I get to do this because so many people lose people and grief is so difficult and personal to everyone, so being able to keep the promise that we said we would is just so special."

Speaking previously to the Mirror, Jayde revealed she feels her sister is watching down on her as she performs. She said: "I think my sister's definitely orchestrating things for me. It all feels so serendipitous.

"It's such an emotional thing for me."
