Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) has caused quite the stir since showing up in Emmerdale last year.
The young man has made quite the impression on many residents of the eponymous village, but perhaps on none more so than Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
Charity was taken with Mackenzie as soon as she set her sights on him, and ended up cheating on Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), as she kissed the newcomer.
With Charity’s relationship having ended as a result of her moment with Mackenzie, she’s sought solace in the young man ever since, and the two have embarked on a series of crimes together.
However, while there is evidently an attraction between the two, actor Lawrence Robb reckons that Mack isn’t actually all that interested in Charity.
‘I think the thing is he would flirt with a lamppost,’ Lawrence told Metro.co.uk. ‘He doesn’t necessarily have any further motive to be with Charity.
‘I think it’s just she’s there, available, I’ll do it. I don’t think he’s found anyone in the village – at the moment he is a lone wolf. He is not after any romance.’
It would be safe to say that Mackenzie has done nothing but cause trouble since arriving in the village.
‘It’s a total rollercoaster.’ Lawrence continued. ‘He’s always up to no good. He’s a lone wolf and he enjoys making life tricky for Moira and other people in the village.
He is still on this vendetta mission but we will get to see a more human in him that we haven’t seen before.’
