Comedian Russell Kane has taken a cheeky swipe at chat show host Steph McGovern.

On Wednesday's (12 October) episode of the show the star was tasked with cooking Steph her lunch and she seemed a bit worried about his cooking skills.

Luckily it seems that Russell was also worried as he said that it is lucky she is "dressed as a paramedic" referring to her all green outfit.

Steph laughed and said: "I am!."

The chat show host was donning a green zip up jumpsuit with a matching belt alongside a pair of white sliders.

Chef Mike Reid was supposed to appear on the show and cook Steph her lunch but he was off sick and so regular guest Russell was forced to step in.

Steph can give as good as she gets when it comes to cheeky swipes.

On Monday (10 October) she made viewers laugh when she took a facial jibe at strictly star.

Steph said that the Steph suggested hunky John had been cursed with a unattractive face and she told him he could "take his Halloween mask off".

She was of course just joking as the stunning Strictly star looked shocked.

Steph said: "John, you can take your Halloween mask off, you don't need it yet."

The studio erupted at the roasting remark, and John looked jokingly shocked at the comment before he hit back: "This is just my face, Steph. Deal with it, I have to."

Russell Kane, 47, regularly stars alongside Steph, 40, on the daytime show.

Russell recently spoke out about how he would be willing to have a prostate exam live on the show.

This comes after Steph had a cervical smear as the show attempts to bust the taboo's around the intimate exams.

He said: “Steph had a cervical smear live on TV and there’s no doubt in my mind I’ve got a prostate exam coming my way when the new series starts.

“We will literally be bum in the air, facing the screen."

He continued: “Yes, it’s nice to get a laugh – but imagine if people start talking about that stuff more and someone goes for a test.

“If you talk about taboos properly, you can evoke thoughtfulness with humour. I’m so passionate about it, particularly with men.”
