Queen says she loves ‘Netflix and Phil’ in Channel 4 deepfake Christmas message

Channel 4 have created a hilarious fake version of the Queen 's Christmas speech.

The new "deepfake" version of the monarch's annual address will be shown on Christmas Day at 3.25pm, following the airing of the real version on ITV and BBC.

Channel 4 have created a digitally created "deepfake" version of Queen Elizabeth II, played by actress Debra Stephenson,

Deborah will tell viewers: "On the BBC, I haven’t always been able to speak plainly and from the heart.

"So, I am grateful to Channel 4 for giving me the opportunity to say whatever I like, without anyone putting words in my mouth."

She will also surprising viewers by performing a TikTok dance routine, Metro reports.

The artificial version of the Queen, created by visual effects studio Framestore, will also reveal that she loves watching "Netflix and Phil".

She will also give candid opinions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s departure from the UK, as well as the scandal surrounding the Duke of York.

The deepfake Queen will also reveal her love of watching ‘Netflix and Phil’, before surprising viewers by performing a TikTok dance routine.

Channel 4 have created the special to highlight how technology is being harnessed to create fake news.

Ian Katz, director of programmes at Channel 4, said: "Deepfake technology is the frightening new frontier in the battle between misinformation and truth.

"This year’s Alternative Christmas Address – seemingly delivered by one of the most familiar and trusted figures in the nation – is a powerful reminder that we can no longer trust our own eyes.:"

Director Bartlett added: "This was a great project to be asked to direct. Deepfake is an interesting spin-off from the recent advances made in machine learning and AI.

"While it is a powerful new technique for image-makers everywhere, it is also a tool that can be used to misrepresent and deceive."

The Alternative Christmas Message air at 3.25pm on Christmas Day.
