Phillip Schofield told ITV viewers on Tuesday "I'm leaving This Morning " after the government's careers survey suggested he should retrain as a paramedic.
The 58-year-old took the test after the government suggested those working in the arts could retrain and go down other career paths.
And after Phillip was put in the emergency responder field, he said on Tuesday's show: "I've just announced I'm leaving This Morning and I'm going to become a paramedic."
A shocked Holly Willoughby told him it was "nice knowing him" – though he was luckily only joking.
However it wasn't just a random conversation, as Phil and Holly welcomed on stars of Ambulance, mother-daughter paramedic duo Nicky and Maisie.
The London Ambulance Service team members spoke of their lives as paramedics and what it was like working together as a mother and daughter.
They explained that they currently weren't working in the same ambulance, as Maisie was stationed at a different centre.
But they reckoned Phil would do well in the field, as Maisie said: "You've just got to be kind and make people laugh."
