Money Heist: Cast say they’re excited to start filming
The highly anticipated fifth and final season of popular Spanish series Money Heist is due to hit Netflix in the coming months. Taking a look at principal star Úrsula Corberó’s Instagram posts, some fans are convinced her character Tokyo’s role in the coming episodes could be short lived.
Fans of the hit series Money Heist may have to watch one of their favourite characters bite the dust when the Spanish thriller returns for its fifth and final instalment.
As the wait continues, updates from the cast and crew have been pouring in on social media.
Although spoilers are being kept under wraps, fans have been piecing together some potential plot points from the new series based on the cast’s recent Instagram posts.
Now, an unearthed clue from Úrsula Corberó’s Instagram story may have cast a cloud over her character Tokyo’s fate in the upcoming episodes.

One concerned fan took to Reddit to explain their ‘suspicions’ for the Spanish star’s role as Tokyo moving forward.
Redditor Zaira_12 posted: “In Úrsula’s recent Instagram story she had a haircut that cannot be recognized [as Tokyo’s] haircut.
“Did she use a wig? Or is the picture from previous days that she has spent during lockdown?”
As it’s unknown if the star uses her natural hair or not for the series, this could suggest her time as Tokyo has come to an end and has now allowed her hair to grow longer.

Corberó’s post has sadly disappeared by now, of course, but this fan was unsure if the photo was taken during filming for the next season or during the star’s downtime.
Previous photos on the actress’s Instagram page have already confirmed Tokyo will be returning for season five in some capacity.
One post saw her joking around behind-the-scenes with fellow star Miguel Herrán, who plays Tokyo’s ex-boyfriend Rio.
Although, her latest post to make reference to Money Heist was released back in November last year, suggesting her time on-set may have come to an end some weeks ago.

As the fifth season will pick up right where the last episode left off, it’s unlikely Tokyo’s hairstyle will undergo any dramatic changes as the heist on the Bank of Spain continues.
However, Corberó has also been spotted on set with newcomer to the series Miguel Ángel Silvestre, leading some to speculate her character could feature in a number of flashbacks.
Then again, another fan was able to elaborate on the theory, maintaining the star does, indeed, wear a wig when portraying Tokyo.
They replied: “I think it’s a wig. She must have been filming flashback scenes.”
Candid set pics have sparked theories that Money Heist’s next season will finally delve into Tokyo’s previous life before she joined forces with the Professor (Álvaro Morte).
New cast member Silvestre is speculated to be playing Tokyo’s partner-in-crime and boyfriend, who was tragically killed before the main events of the series.
Money Heist is already infamous for its impossible to guess twists and turns, and it goes to show that even the smallest update from the cast can prompt wild speculation from the show’s long-suffering fanbase.
