Masked Singer fans 'figure out' who Traffic Cone is – saying character is I'm A Celeb star

MASKED Singer fans are convinced they have figured out that Traffic Cone is none other than toolbelt-wearing telly legend Nick Knowles.

The DIY:SOS and I'm A Celeb star, 59, is thought to be behind the crazy costume, performing alongside dancing workmen on the ITV hit.

Nick is a long-time singer with a silky voice who has even released his own album, Every Kind of People.

However, back when he started out on TV as the traffic reporter for the Meridianregion, he was "Nicky Knowles, the man who knows his cones".

That could explain why the character described themselves as the "OG TC" – or original traffic cone.

Footage from 1993 shows him telling viewers: "If you're stuck in Cone City – that's the Basingstoke ring road – it's your own fault, you ought to know better by now."

Other viewers suggested the diggers and workmen were a clue to his long history on DIY programmes.

And the final clue – "I made my money taking my top off" – could point to Nick's shirt-free appearances on I'm A Celebrity.

The star appeared wearing only what Dec Donnelly referred to as his "naughty little red pants" – which were auctioned for charity cash after the 2018 series.

Plenty of other Masked Singer viewers just thought Traffic Cone's musical performances straight-up sounded like him.

One armchair detective wrote simply: "Traffic cone sounds like Nick Knowles 🤔 xx."

Another said: "Traffic Cone surely has to be Nick Knowles…. Traffic cone – DIY SOS?"

However, none of the four judges agreed, with a range of bizarre answers coming from the panel.

Davina McCall thought he was Sky Sports legend Chris Kamara, Mo Gilligan suggested Alistair Brownlee and Rita Ora picked Olly Murs.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Ross said Prince Harry – who just so happens to be friends with… none other than Nick Knowles.
