Love Island’s Sherif Lanre bragged about his ‘bad side’ before entering villa

Sherif Lanre has fled the Love Island villa in a media storm after cryptically admitting to 'not conducting himself in the right way.'

While he's now apologised and headed back to the UK, the semi-professional rugby player had boasted about his 'bad side' before entering the ITV2 dating series.

In his first interview for the reality show, Sherif was asked to give his worst quality.

"Number one would be that I'm pretty outrageous," he said.

"That can also translate to the bad side," he added.

Sherif also bragged that he has a naughty sense of humour before becoming the first contestant to be kicked off the show this year for breaking the rules.

He said: "I laugh at everything which can sometimes get me into trouble. I can can't really take anything seriously."

During his short time in the show Sherif had been coupled up with contestant Anna Vakili.

Things had been going well between the pair with them even sharing their first snog following a sexy game of Jenga.

But on Tuesday the blossoming romance was cut short after ITV confirmed that after less than two weeks on the show, Sherif had to leave.

A spokesperson said in a statement: "After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.”

While Sherif himself told viewers: "In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.

"I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from. I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside.”
