Love Islands dramatic first recoupling sees no-one dumped from villa after Liam quits

The first dramatic recoupling of Love Island series eight has happened, and with it came many twist and turns.

Irishman Dami Hope, 26, chose to stay with Amber Beckford, 24, who the public chose for him to be with from the first day of the latest series.

Ikenna Ekwonna, 23, also chose to stick with his original partner, Indiyah Polack, 23, who was also chosen for him by the public.

Dubai real estate agent, Andrew Le Page, 27, also chose to stay with his original partner, Yorkshire dancer, Tasha Ghouri, 23, after praising her for opening up to him.

In no real surprise, Luca Bish, 23, coupled with Michael Owen's daughter, Gemma, 19, after the pair admitted that they were attracted to each other in last night's episode, leaving his original partner, Paige Thorne, 20, single and vulnerable.

After Davide Sanclimenti, 27, found himself single following Luca's choosing to couple up with Gemma, he, in turn, chose to couple up with newcomer Ekin-Su, 27.

Afia, 25, and Paige found themselves single, before Paige got a text that read: "After Liam left today, no one will be leaving the villa."

It was a dramatic night for the show, after 22 year old Welsh student, Liam Llewellyn, announced his departure from the show after just four days, admitting that he wasn't feeling "100% Liam".

Speaking to the boys sat around the fire pit, Liam said: "I think we need to have a chat, we need to get everyone together,

After he had gathered all of the Islanders together, Liam poured his heart out when he said: "I haven't really been feeling like I have been giving 100 percent Liam. I know what 100 percent Liam looks like and I have miles off that.

"Trying to find someone to leave the villa that you care about – that's the goal isn't it. When you are not feeling that, it makes it a very hard sort of time to find that. I have been thinking long and and hard. I have made the decision that I am going to leave the villa".

His announcement prompted shock and some tears from his fellow Love Islanders, with Amber and Luca visibly upset.

He continued: "I’ve been thinking long and hard, this isn’t a spur of the moment type thing…so yeah, you’re all unreal. "

There were tears from some of the group, including Luca and Amber, as they jumped up and hugged him

Liam then tried to rally the group, saying: "Smiles all round".

Tasha said: "I absolutely adore Liam and I hope he finds someone special one day."

Gemma, who was previously coupled up with Liam, before coupling up with Davide and now Luca, expressed that she felt guilty.

Speaking to Luca, Gemma said: "I wasn’t expecting that from you.

"It’s just a shame because we started it together and it will be weird not having you around, I do care for you and it will be weird."
