Louis Tomlinson 'likes' Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid's baby announcement – but the rest of One Direction ignore it

ONE Direction fans have gone into overdrive after Louis Tomlinson liked Zayn Malik's baby announcement – while the rest of the band seem to have ignored it.

The singer, 27, announced the happy news earlier today that his girlfriend Gigi Hadid finally welcomed their baby daughter into the world.

The Bradford born star marked the special occasion with an adorable snap of the tot gripping his finger in black and white.

He wrote: "Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful🙏🏽❤️
to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task.

"The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x"

But eagle-eyed Directioners have noticed that Louis is the only member of the popular boyband to have liked it.

Thousands flocked to Twitter to try and contain their excitement, with one saying: "DID LOUIS LIKE ZAYN’S PHOTO???????????????????????????? IS THAT TRUE??????????"

A third said: "*zayn posts a picture* *louis decides to like the picture and tell the world that zouis is alive*"

A fourth tweeted: "Louis liking Zayn’s instagram post is literally the sweetest thing ever! Like it’s the first Zouis interaction we’ve had in years"

Another said: "pls Louis liked zayn's post that is something so beautiful to me he just liked it a post about Zayn welcoming his baby girl like his best mate just became a father"

A sixth joked: "B*****s be like "im ready for a one direction reunion" but almost pass out when Louis liked Zayn's post"

Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne are yet to like the post.

After being randomly put together as a band during their stint on X Factor in 2010, the five boys became arguably one of the most successful boy bands of all time.

But five years down the line, fans were left devastated when Zayn decided to leave the group, emphasising that he just wanted to be "normal" again.

The band took to Facebook to announce the devastating news.

It read: "After five incredible years Zayn Malik has decided to leave One Direction. Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year.

And Zayn added: "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band.

"I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart.

"I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.

"I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."

The northern lad was the first to excel in his solo career, hitting number one in the UK charts with Pillow Talk in 2016.

Two months ago marked the 10th anniversary of the mega famous pop band.

The band's official Twitter and Instagram page posted something special for the first time in two years to mark the occassion.

It read: "Tomorrow! You and me got a whole lot of history #10YearsOf1D."

Fans of the boys were later gifted with a five minute long montage of the their journey over the past 10 years.

And while Liam, Louis, Harry and Niall took to their social media platforms to pay tribute to their success, Zayn was the only one to keep quiet.

It does looks like fans of the group could be in for a treat in the near future.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun earlier this year, Liam revealed the boys were in talks of putting something special together for their decade anniversary.

He said: “We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice.

“There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around."

Although the dad-of-one didn't mention whether or not Zayn would be part of their plans.

Louis Tomlinson also gave a flicker of hope in January during an appearance on the One Show when asked he was asked if they were going to reunite as a group.

He said: “I think it’ll happen at some point, we’d be stupid not to.”
