Jodie also admitted that season two of Killing Eve has raised the bar.

“Coming back to the series was a challenge because the response was so enormous, you feel extra pressure.

“We pick up the story about 30 seconds after the end of series one when Eve stabbed me.

"And Villanelle is completely out of control, so it’s fascinating to see how she deals with that.

“I think we really explore the psyche of Villanelle in series two.” Killing Eve, which is co-written by Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, follows the madcap world of professional assassins.
