Fans have gone wild over ITV's Liar after the hit drama was recently added to Netflix.
Series one of the psychological thriller was initially released in 2017 and centres on newly-single school teacher Laura (played by Joanne Froggatt) who goes on a date with widower surgeon Andrew Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd).
It was a huge hit at the time, with ITV going on to commission a second series, which arrived on screens in 2020.
And thanks to it being added to Netflix, Liar has gained a brand new crop of his fans who have been gripped by the shocking twists and turns.
Taking to Twitter after watching the episodes, one new fan wrote: "Obsessed with #LIAR @netflix.
Another said: "Liar on Netflix is so good.
“If you haven’t seen Liar on Netflix… you need to! Crazy, mind blowing psychological thriller. Excellent, excellent writing," raved a third, before a fourth added: "Half way through this, it’s gripping. Definitely one to watch."
The plot follows characters Laura and Andrew, who enjoy a seemingly perfect date night.
However, their budding relationship is tipped on its head when Laura realises she has been the victim of a sexual assault – and Andrew was the perpetrator.
When she reports the rape to the police, Andrew is hauled in for questioning but strenuously denies the allegation.
As news of Laura’s claims become public both Laura and Andrew’s families struggle to come to terms with the situation, and throughout the majority of the first series, viewers are left wondering who’s telling the truth.
Season two picks up just weeks after the events of the season one finale, and introduces several new characters into the mix – including some who have shady pasts.
Liar was created by brothers Harry and Jack Williams, who previously wrote BBC's The Missing and One Of Us.
The talented siblings' production company is also behind Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag and the BBC's recent Jamie Dornan drama The Tourist.
If you fancy a good binge watch then seasons one and two of Liar are streaming on Netflix now.
