Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the hit BBC show The Syndicate. The new series follows the lives of five Woodvale Kennels workers who see everything change when they win the lottery. With series four well underway, fans are wondering what drama is in store for The Syndicate and who could be about to join the show, with soap star Kym Marsh poised to pop up on-screen.

The Syndicate already has fans on the edge of their seats, with the plot focusing on what happens when a jackpot win goes very wrong this time around.

The group are devastated when they find out their kennels are being sold to a bigger company.

Naturally, they can’t believe their luck when they win the lottery jackpot but things don’t go to plan when the colleagues have to fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs, taking them on a journey to the South of France.

Each member of the group have their own motives behind needing the money and when the winning ticket goes missing, their relationships are put to the test.

The latest series is promising some big names with many former soap stars joining the cast.

Kym Marsh does in fact star in the series as Donna.

She has a difficult love-hate relationship with her daughter Keeley (Katherine Rose Morley) which will make the group’s complicated situation even worse.

Fans were excited to see her on the small screen again.

The 44-year-old actress played Michelle Connor on the ITV soap from April 2006 to December 2019.

The award-winning star has also taken on roles in For Love or Money and Your Money and Your Life.

She shared a photo from The Syndicate on Instagram, with the message: “Sooooo excited for this!!!!! The Syndicate starts tonight at 9pm @bbcone tune in its brill!!!!” [Sic]

One fan responded: “That was brilliant didn’t want it to end looking forward to next week (love the bit where you picked up the remote to turn the TV on).” [Sic]
