Inside Alison Hammond's funniest moments from breaking Big Brother table to 'marrying' The Rock

ALISON Hammond has achieved national treasure status thanks to her larger than life personality and warm, bubbly presenting style.

Her unorthodox path to stardom began 20 years ago with a very brief, yet memorable, stint in the Big Brother House that acted as a springboard to bigger and better things.

The 47-year-old has tackled some of the country's biggest reality shows since including I'm A Celebrity, Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity MasterChef, and she's more than held her own interviewing A-list talent on This Morning.

All the while, she's juggled being a caring single mum to son Aiden and overcome self esteem issues.

We take a look at her most memorable and funny moments from the past two decades.

Big Brother shenanigans

Alison reminisced about the video that kickstarted it all this week: her Big Brother audition tape.

Speaking to camera while standing outside, Alison declares her love for Vaseline and says she's looking for "frills, frolics and excitement".

Sharing the video, she wrote: "Omg 20 years since Big brother changed my life. Eternally grateful to Big brother , how gorgeous is @ThisisDavina i just love her."

Her most memorable moment in the CCTV house was undoubtedly when she broke a garden table.

Alison climbed on to the piece of furniture in a bid to get the attention of security outside the tall walls.

But it went disastrously wrong when the legs buckled, prompting her to run away laughing before getting a telling off by Big Brother.

This Morning chaos

Alison was given a dressing down by Italian cops while filming from the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Her face was a picture as the law interrupted her live broadcast and informed the crew they didn't have a filming permit.

Remaining professional, Alison continued with the broadcast while a police officer flitted around in front of her.

The presenter is never shy when it comes to sitting down with Hollywood's finest.

Speaking to them like old buddies has proved a successful strategy, allowing her to slip through their guard and letting viewers ee the real them.

She famously 'married' wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson while Kevin Hart watched on.

Alison was a stunning bride in a traditional white dress and veil, while muscly Rock wore a top hat.

The unofficial union was shortlived and they subsequently 'divorced'.

Alison's infectious shrieking laughter often rings around the This Morning studio.
