A spokesperson for the castle has said that ITV have paid for a cabin which would be easier for filming in the historic building.

They said: "ITV gifted us an upgraded version that was also moveable, which gives us the flexibility if there is more filming needed.

"I think the door is open for I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! coming back.

"They've got two brands going with I'm a Celebrity, they've got the jungle and they've now got the castle, they've invested in both brands quite heavily."

The spokesperson continued: "They've got things like the All Stars, they've got spin-offs.

"There is a spin-off that they are planning which will be all of the past winners, there are lots of things happening, there is an ongoing relationship between ITV and the castle and possible projects on the horizon."

Meanwhile, Gwrych Castle added: "It was such an honour to host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for the last two years.

"As a small charity we will always be grateful to ITV and I'm A Celebrity for the opportunity to host one of the most-watched shows in the UK.

"The show has showcased the true beauty of the castle to millions of people and has enabled us to carry out urgent repairs after years of neglect, vandalism, and arson.

"We have a huge amount to do to bring the castle back to its former glory butwe're excited for the castle's future.

"We will continue to collaborate with ITV and I'm A Celebrity and we still have many items and set pieces in place from the past the two years such as The Clink, the I'm A Celebrity throne, privy, and the telephone box just to name a few."

It's been claimed that names including Myleene Klass, Paul Burrell and Janice Dickinson have been thrown into the mix to appear in the All Star series, while Christopher Biggins ruled out taking part.
