I'm A Celebrity axes sexy showers scenes as stars will be shielded by 'privacy curtain'

I'M A Celebrity has axed the sexy shower scenes as stars will be shielded by a "privacy curtain".

The popular ITV show has moved from the Australian jungle to freezing cold Wales – and with the move comes changes.

The stars entering Gwyrch Castle in Abergele won't be treated to an idyllic waterfall shower, instead having to clean themselves in a rusty old bath.

What's worse, the I'm A Celeb campers will have to ask someone else to pump the water while they get clean.

They'll also have to stoke the boiler twice a day in order to generate the heat.

In order to get to the bathroom, the celebrities will have to walk up to the stone bathroom in the haunted castle.

They'll have a rusty tub and a dirty shower curtain for coverage – with a watering can dripping out barely warm water.

Producer Tom Gould told the Daily Star: "It is not a one man job in the castle, you need your friend to pump and it comes out of a watering can.

"You have got a bit more privacy than you have in the jungle with a modesty screen, but not a huge amount of privacy."

Katie Price (2004), Myleene (2006), Gemma Atkinson (2007) and Vicky Pattison (2015) proved a huge hit on the ITV1 show after peeling off to soap up.

However, there has been a backlash to the sexy scenes by the female stars.

Last year, the female stars refused to "do a Myleene" and get in the shower.

Also, Lisa Snowdon – who was in the jungle in 2016 – said she didn't feel comfortable washing under the waterfall.

Speaking to the Mail Online, she said: "When we did it, none of us wanted to get in the shower because we knew that the cameras were there.

"We were like 'Oh no, we're going to be in the shower shot' so we put it off for as long as possible in my year.

"There was quite a lot of pressure – you feel massively exposed. We definitely delayed it for as long as we could until we were really, really reeking."
