Getting paid to watch TV with your family sounds like a dream come true. And for these families it’s actually reality.
But how much are the cast paid for letting the nation in on their thoughts? Here we give you the answer.
How much do the Gogglebox cast get paid per episode?
Each family get paid a whopping £1,500 per month, according to The Sun.
Although Channel 4 has never confirmed how much the cast gets paid, an insider told the publication.
This is a set fee which can be split between the family members as they wish.
But that’s not all they get. The families are also understood to be treated to takeaways when they sit down in front of the TV.
In order to get paid, the families commit to filming 12 hours a week, split into two six hour long shifts.
During this time they can’t just sit back and enjoy the movie or TV show.
They have to share their opinions and views on what they are watching.
Gogglebox starts tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm with lots of your favourite stars returning.
We will be reunited with the Siddiqui family, Jenny and Lee, Malone family, Giles and Mary, Izzy and Ellie, and plenty of others too!
