The actor, who currently plays Zain Randeri in the Channel 4 soap, appeared in the BBC drama multiple time from 2013 until 2017 as Captain Azizi.

Michelle's character Corporal Georgie Lane was jilted by Elvis on their wedding day after the two met through a SAS rescue mission in Afghanistan.

Despite finding new love with Doctor Jamie Cole, Georgie couldn't fight her remaining feelings for Elvis as they were forced to work together once again.

However, Georgie and Elvis were later reunited as they were forced to work with each other again during a tour in Afghan.

But after being betrayed by Azizi in Kabul, who ended up dying, their mission went disastrously wrong with several of the characters being injured.

However, before they set off, Elvis retold Georgie how much he loved her and how he couldn't imagine life without her.

The couple ended up sharing a steamy evening together, and in the morning, Elvis had left her a note proposing to her with an engagement ring – to which she accepted.

However, as they made their way on the Aatan Omar mission, Elvis discovered a hidden bomb and it was too late as he was tragically killed.

Away from Our Girl, Jonas has also appeared in Doctors, Ackley Bridge and The Good Karma Hospital.

Hollyoaks fans are set to see more of Zain in upcoming scenes as Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) enlists his help to try and track his missing dad James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan).

They come up with an idea to throw their own impromptu soap kitchen in the hopes he shows up.

When the kitchen is in full swing, a jacket gives the game away and it looks like they’ve found their man, but he disappears before Romeo speaks to him.

Will Romeo find his dad?

Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
