Former Eastenders actor Harry Reid, who once played character Ben Mitchell in the soap recently posted a photo of himself on Instagram smoking a large joint.
Sharing a throwback to highlight the cannabis smoking event '420' in Hyde Park London, the star publicly revealed his post to his fans to commemorate the day.
Harry captioned the post: "Throwback. Happy 420."
Harry, 28, played the ever-changing Ben Mitchell on the Square from 2014 until 2018 but in total there have been six different actors who have starred as the character.
In an interview, Harry previously admitted that he was left feeling "shocked" when TV bosses told him they would recast his character a week before it was publicly announced.
At the time, the actor reassured his fans that he didn’t feel "upset" about their decision and thanked his followers for their support.
In January 2019, the former soap star spoke candidly to Digital Spy about being axed from the show.
"They told me that they were going to recast him about a week before it was announced. To be honest, I was shocked because I didn't expect that they were going to recast the role," he explained.
"I was told that they weren't going to recast.
"But at the same time, it didn't upset me, which is what a lot of the fans are saying. One particular fan called Elizabeth, who's supported me a lot, posted, 'I hate to think that Harry will be sat there upset about it.' I'm not and that's what I want people to understand.
He added: "This is business and this is the game that we're in. The acting industry is very cut-throat. I've said before that I didn't come into this industry to play one part, because I love exploring different characters' lives and personalities."
In 2019, Harry decided to take a different route with his career and appeared on the reality game show Celebrity Coach Trip on Channel 4.
