Emmerdale: Harriet Finch prays after burying DI Malone
Harriet (played by Katherine Dow Bylton) has had a hard time in Emmerdale village following Malone’s (Mark Womack) murder with former partner Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) calling off their engagement due to her involvement in his death. In upcoming episodes, Harriet will becoming increasingly worried someone will discover she moved Malone’s body and begin asking questions.
Unfortunately for the vicar, that is exactly what happens as newcomer Charles (Kevin Maturin) quickly realises something is amiss.
Harriet will pay a visit to Malone’s new grave which is on the grounds of Home Farm and it’s clear she can’t move on from the events of 2020.
Charles will then arrive in the village looking for Harriet and she has to pull herself together.
She’s horrified to realise she is expected to work alongside Charles for the foreseeable future as her parish merges with Charles’.

Harriet will continue to visit Malone’s grave in the hope it helps her move on.
Just as she thinks she might be able to refocus her attentions, Charles points out one of the graves has been disturbed.
Harriet begins to panic he will investigate the place of Malone’s former burial ground.
If he starts poking around and asking questions, he could discover the truth about Malone’s murder, leading to Harriet unravelling.
Could this be the end of Harriet or will Charles use the information he uncovers to blackmail the vicar into letting him take charge of the parish?
Emmerdale announced Charles and his son Ethan (Emile John) would be joining the village in November.
Not too much is known about the father and son duo but their arrival will surely shake things up in the sleepy village.
Ethan has been described as “intelligent” and is said to have inherited his father’s strong sense of justice.

He has carved out a successful law career for himself but Charles will learn he’s been wrongly accused of a crime.
The vicar’s intense need to fight injustice will be seen as he jumps to his son’s defence.
But it seems there will be more trouble on the horizon for the father and son when they have a run-in with the Dingles.
Teasing his addition to Emmerdale, Charles star Kevin said: “The show has always been a family favourite and my mum is a huge fan.
“The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I am really looking forward to Charles’ storylines in the Village.”
Meanwhile, Emile said of his role of Ethan: “I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility in articulating his struggle with truth and authenticity and I can only hope that the audience fully engage with him in the same way I have.”
Producer Sophie Roper added: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Kevin and Emile to the show and this dynamic new father and son duo, are set to send shockwaves through the village as they find themselves embroiled in the heart of a thought-provoking story with one of our most loved families.”
The pair will make their debut on Emmerdale in the New Year.
