EastEnders’ Kim Fox (played by Tameka Empson) embarked on a mission earlier this year to find out what really happened to her missing husband Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood). She was left heartbroken when she discovered her husband had been murdered by gangster Aiden Maguire (Patrick Bergin) but will she find love with the man who can help get justice for Vincent?

In October, Kim was stunned when she discovered Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson), a children’s entertainer, was posing as her husband.

She quickly learned that he had worked in the junkyard where Vincent was last seen having been kidnapped by Aiden’s thugs on the orders of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Phil only intended for Vincent to be scared off but he managed to get hold of a video of Kim’s husband being shot dead which he kept in case Aiden came after him.

Howie agreed to go to the police with what he knew but was warned off by the Mitchell hard man.

However, in Thursday’s instalment of the BBC soap, Howie turned up out of the blue with a surprise for Kim’s children.

After turning up on the doorstep with presents for Pearl and Mica, could Howie be hiding a secret crush on Kim?

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Howie agreed to report Phil to the police in a bid to stop Kim from leaving Walford for good.

On Christmas Eve, the Fox-Brannings discussed what this could mean for Phil.

Howie asked Jack: “I just want to know what’s going to happen, will they arrest me?”

“They’ll take a statement, they’ll grill you, try to find out if you know more than you’re letting on,” he replied.

“Just be honest you’re small fry compared to them.”

“Do you reckon they’ll get arrested straight away?” Howie asked. “And they won’t know it’s me that grassed?”

“They’ll be careful but I reckon you keep a low profile for a bit,” Jack warned.

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) questioned: “Phil, what are we talking about? Five, 10 years?”

“Maybe more it could even be life,” Jack answered before confirming he could die in prison.

“So when are you going to do it?” Kim asked as Jack and Howie agreed to head to the police station.

“Howie, thank you so much for doing this it’s the best present you could have given me,” Kim remarked.

If Vincent’s murder is investigated by the police, Kim may finally get some closure and move forward with her life.

It’s clear Howie and Kim share a connection with the children’s entertainer willing to put his life in danger for the widow.
