EastEnders reveals first look at serial killer Lucas' Christmas return

There won’t be any silent nights in EastEnders this Christmas, as serial killer Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) is set to make an emphatic return.

The festive season is notoriously a huge occasion for the BBC One soap, and this year is set to be no different, as Lucas returns to the Square.

A brand new promo image previews the killer’s comeback, as Denise Fox (Diane Parish) spends the holiday season with Raymond Dawkins — and Lucas watches from from behind the tree.

The question on all of our lips right now is: just what is it that brings him back to Walford?

Is he a changed man? Or will he murder once more?

Either way, this promo picture certainly suggests that he’s got Denise in his sights.

Speaking at the time when Lucas’ return was revealed, an EastEnders spokesperson told us: ‘Don Gilet is returning to Walford as one of E20’s most notorious bad guys, Lucas Johnson, later in the year.

‘Four years after he left The Square his comeback is set to cause shockwaves amongst the residents. Has his time inside done him any good?’

Lucas’ daughter Chelsea is also set to return to Walford, with Coronation Street’s Zaraah Abrahams taking over the role.

But will she find herself caught up in her dad’s web of lies?
