Weddings in Walford rarely go without a hitch, and this year's Christmas Day ceremony looks to be no different in EastEnders.

With serial killer Gray set to exchange vows with Chelsea in a winter wedding, it looks like it's only a matter of time before his evil deeds are exposed in Albert Square after Whitney Dean found posts made by his murdered ex-wife.

However, there was another twist in store for fans on Christmas Eve, as Kheerat was exposed as a double agent who had only been pretending to be Gray's pal.

It came as Whitney told Kheerat: "He ain't the big hero that you think he is."

With the pair determined to discover more evidence and bring Gray to justice, it looks like they could both be in danger.

But could Gray be killed off in a win for justice?

Fans are certain that someone is set to die, and flocked to Twitter to air their theories. One posted: "Who's going to die, who's going to die?"

"If Kheerat dies at Christmas, I’m gonna kick off!" someone else fumed.

As another fan echoed: "I’ve not watched @bbceastenders for a number of years now but I’m guessing that this Christmas there will be a wedding, someone will get killed off and Christmas dinner at the Queen Vic will be ruined."

And a fourth joked: "Me and my partner are watching #EastEnders for the first time in a year Whilst Playing 'who’s going to get killed off Christmas Day this year'".
