Corrie’s Geoff ‘downfall exposed’ in Faye twist as he’s caught abusing Sally

Coronation Street abuser Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) may have finally have taken his evil actions too far as he was seemingly caught out in shocking scenes.

Geoff was furious at his daughter-in-law Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) after finding out that she had given Alya Yasmeen's money to buy Geoff out of the business.

He realised it was intended as retaliation against him, and went to Sally's house to intimidate her in sickening scenes.

Geoff told her: "Now now, I've only come to offer commiserations vis a vis the cancelled nuptials," Geoff gloated.

"His face, I don't know it was 48% sadness, 52% relief, a bit like the Brexit result."

Sally replied: "Oh Geoff, you're a walking talking wrecking ball."

Geoff hit back: "The truth is Sal, you've hitched your wagon to the wrong horse, you've bought into the lies of that bleating, whining fantasist I married.

"You've been duped my dear."

Sally said: "Tim doesn't deserve this, we were happy."

Geoff swiped back: ""But I told him the only way to get over a woman is to get under a new one, and that perked him up a bit.

Sally furiously demanded to know where Elaine was after she had gone missing, but Geoff refused to say.

However, he was soon caught off guard by his granddaughter Faye, who had been listening in on the whole thing.

She told him: "Grandad, that's horrible," and he quickly replied: "Yaah I'm sorry love, you're right, I went a bit far didn't I."

Geoff then insisted that Sally had been abusing him for months and trying to break him and Tim apart, leading him to snap.

Fans predicted Faye will be the one to work out Geoff's sick crimes, as one wrote: "Now it appears to be Detective Faye on the case in the next few weeks as Geoff is busted by Faye?"

Another added: "Faye has just copped Geoff being horrible to Sally. Come on Faye you need to see through him now."

A third chipped in: "Glad Faye arrived and cut short grotesque Geoff's smugness!!! Less smug grotesque Geoff = happier viewer."

Will Faye be the one to expose her grandfather once and for all?

Carrie continues on Monday at 5pm on ITV.
