Amanda Holden looked worlds away from her usual glamorous self when she made her first TV debut on Blind Date back in 1991.

The 50-year-old is now a well-known TV star with numerous appearances judging on talent shows for BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

However, the radio DJ’s showbiz career came from humble beginnings as a guest on Blind Date when she was just 19 years old.

A video of the blonde bombshell has resurfaced which saw the then-teen looking for love on the popular TV show with the help of Cilla Black.

In the re-discovered clip, Amanda is seen chatting to the Liverpudlian host on one side of the show’s famous screen which has been circulating around on TikTok.

The throwback footage starts off with the star introducing herself, saying: “Hello Cilla, I’m Amanda and I'm from London.”

The iconic TV host then asks Amanda who she’d “have a knees up anybody with men-wise" to which she replied: “Well, I can only name one can’t I?

“I have four, but it’s Jack Nicholson … I like the experience, mature.”

Years after the show aired, Amanda opened up about her once-in-a-lifetime experience and revealed how she was actually engaged to a mystery man at the time of filming.

Speaking to Reader’s Digest, she explained: “I’d seen an audition poster and, being dramatic and quite loud, I went along for a laugh.

“I was actually down as a reserve, but someone was forced to pull out, which left me centre-stage, so to speak.

“I was actually engaged at the time, but it was all done for a laugh and the producers knew I wasn’t single.”

Unfortunately, the star never made it down the aisle with her unnamed fiancé, but soon went on to marry Les Dennis in 1995.

At the age of 24, she exchanged vows with the TV comic despite their 17-year age gap.

But their love wasn’t meant to be as the couple soon divorced in 2002 before she went on to marry record producer Chris Hughes and become a mum to two beautiful daughters.
