Amanda Holden talks heartbreaking PTSD battle after losing stillborn son Theo

Amanda Holden opened up about her heartache after she lost her stillborn son Theo back in 2011.

The Britain's Got Talent judge spoke to the Loose Women ladies about the tragic loss and how she dealt with the grief of losing her son.

Amanda was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder after the loss of Theo.

She said on the ITV show that her new cover of With You is dedicated to him.

Amanda explained: "Anybody who's lost somebody quickly or unexpectedly, it's a cliche but you can only take one day and a time and you have to force yourself to think of the good things.

"Gather people around you. I held on very tight to Chris and my family."

Amanda said that she dealt with her grief spiritually, and said Theo was "a gift".

She said: "My baby chose me for the moment he came down and he wasn't meant to be.

"I made a positive story of it that he was a gift for me."

Amanda bravely opened up about her son's stillbirth as she spoke about it earlier this year.

In the BBC's Dear NHS Superstars special, she reflected on the moment she was told he wasn't alive.

She said: "I remember waking up and thinking I hadn't felt my baby kick for most of the night which was unusual because he was so active.

"I tried all the things they tell you to do, but he wasn't moving. But I didn't panic."
