MANCHESTER UNITED are hoping to serve up a treat for their fans – unfortunately it won't be on the field.
Lifelong supporter and Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge will be taking over the menu at Old Trafford.
Kerridge's pies will be available to fans at a selection of kiosks around the ground and he will also present a five-course meal in the exclusive International suite.
The package will set back fans a whopping £1,666.67 a pop but should leave a better taste in the mouth than the football on offer.
United made several mis-steaks in the market this summer as they failed to replace Alexis Sanchez or Romelu Lukaku.
And they made a meal of their clash against struggling Newcastle – going down 1-0 to Steve Bruce's Magpies.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope to turn the tables on Liverpool following the international break after some dire performances left him plenty of food for thought.
But the Red Devils are likely to be well done by Jurgen Klopp's Reds, who are hungry for their first-ever Premier League title.
Kerridge has already partnered with Class of 92 legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs to open a restaurant.
The Bull and Bear will open inside their their Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester next month.
Kerridge told the MEN: "We came away going: 'We have to do this.' It’s just such an amazing, beautiful space.
“The Manchester food scene is incredible. It’s growing. It’s probably one of the most talked-about in the UK right now, the vibrancy of it, the way that it moves, the warmth that it has."
