RICHARLISON is likely to be ruled out for the rest of Copa America after reportedly contracting mumps.
The Everton forward was left out of Brazil's quarter-final penalty win over Paraguay on Thursday.
There are growing concerns that the virus could spread to the rest of his team-mates.
So the club have taken measures to prevent spread by keeping Richarlison in isolation away from the squad for five days.
Doctors will also vaccinate the rest of the team to take extra precaution.
Everton may see the illness as a blessing in disguise as it will force Richarlison into some extra rest before the start of the new season.
Richarlison, 22, has made 12 caps for his country and scored five goals since breaking into the national set up last August.
Brazil will face either Venezuela or Argentina in the semi-final after limping past Paraguay.
Despite having a man advantage for over 30 minutes, Brazil needed penalties to go through with Gabriel Jesus bagging the decisive spot-kick in a 4-3 win.
