Frank Lampard is Premier League's most trolled manager amid Chelsea struggles while Sheff Utd's Wilder gets most love

FRANK LAMPARD is the most trolled manager in the Premier League, according to incredible new stats.

With Chelsea slumped in ninth in the table after 17 matches, the 42-year-old has received the brunt of the abuse. have analysed thousands of posts to find out which manager is trolled the most on Twitter.

Unsurprisingly, Blues boss Lampard has topped the pile following his team's shocking spell of form.

Out of 864 tweets that mentioned the manager's name, a whopping 42 per cent (365) were negative.

And the most common emoji used in the tweets including Lampard's name was the crying face.

That could be down to the fact that Chelsea have lost four of their last six league matches.

Steve Bruce – who has blasted the ‘mass hysteria’ among supporters – is the second-most trolled manager.

A huge 32 per cent of tweets regarding the Newcastle United boss were negative.

The most used emoji for tweets including Bruce was the cry-laughing face.


Up next in the list is Aston Villa boss Dean Smith, closely followed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Out of 877 posts about the Manchester United boss, 28.73 per cent were negative.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is next in line followed by Brighton's Graham Potter.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is the most loved manager on Twitter, despite his side propping up the Premier League.

Out of 870 tweets, an incredible 590 (68.60 per cent) were positive compared to just 11.16 per cent negative.

Carlo Ancelotti, David Moyes and Marcelo Bielsa are among the other fan favourites.

Arsenal's Mikel Arteta receives mixed reviews, with 53.56 per cent being positive.

Most tweets about Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and rival City manager Pep Guardiola are neutral.

But Baggies boss Sam Allardyce – who has called for a football lockdown – is the most talked about.
