ALEXIS SANCHEZ has had to pay the price for a poor season with Manchester United in more ways than one – this time, with a spectacular drop in his FIFA rating.
As the popular gaming series releases its stats for every player ahead of FIFA 20 hitting shops, they have handed the winger a major decrease.
From a score of 87 last season, the new season sees Sanchez plummet to 82 – his worst rating in years.
Not since 2011 has he been valued lower, when still a rising young star at Udinese, while his peak came as FIFA 18 made him an 89-rated midfielder before he left Arsenal.
While Sanchez keeps most of his pace, now rated at 81, his dribbling and shooting have both dropped by five points.
And it isn't hard to see why, given the fact he scored just four times in his 18 months at Old Trafford.
Now on loan at Inter, Sanchez experiences one of the most major decreases in FIFA history but not as bad as Monaco defender Naldo, who this year slides by six points to a rating of 80.
The Ligue 1 club have suffered widely in FIFA 20 after a nightmare campaign and a variety of aging stars are also on the wane.
Nemanja Matic has been given a five-point hit to come in at 81 along with similar decreases for Gianlugi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Mario Gomez.
On the other end of the scale, Dan James and Jadon Sancho both enjoy huge boosts after major breakout seasons.
Their 13 and 12-point rises, respectively, are nonetheless beaten by Norwich star Max Aarons' 14-point jump and Arsenal signing William Saliba's 15-point increase to 71.
Not all Gunners fans were happy with the ratings though as Kieran Tierney, Matto Guendouzi and Rob Holding all languish in the mid-70s.
