MARCUS RASHFORD is “nearing completion” of signing a new Manchester United contract, reports claim.

Old Trafford chiefs were rocked by the revelation Paul Pogba is seeking a “new challenge” but have received a boost with Rashford close to agreeing a new long term deal.

The Times report the England star is hashing out the final stages of negotiations in order to secure his long term future in Manchester.

SunSport revealed United bosses could have to fork out up to £350,000 a week in order to keep the 21-year-old and fend off interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.

It is understood talks over a new deal began last year as the player enters the final 12 months of his current contract this season.

WHO said Alexis Sanchez was a flop? Well, most of us!

But not in a Chile shirt.

The forward grabbed a goal and an assist in his nation's Copa America opener against Japan.

His header eight minutes from time was his first goal in any competition since scoring against Arsenal in the FA Cup on January 25.

MANCHESTER UNITED will offer Paul Pogba £500,000 per week to stay at the club, according to reports.

The Frenchman, 26, is widely expected to leave Old Trafford this summer after admitting he is ready for a “new challenge”.

But according to the Mail, United are trying to pull out all the stops to convince him to make a U-turn and stick with the club.

And increasing his wages from £290,000 per week to just about match those of top-earner Alexis Sanchez is thought to be the way Ed Woodward is plotting to keep Pogba.

The executive vice-chairman knows for all his flaws and the negative impact he can have, Pogba is a valuable asset – both on the football field but also commercially.

ACCORDING to the Independent, Qatari-owned PSG could provide Pogba with a way out of Old Trafford, especially if they sell Neymar.

His agent Mino Raiola has very close ties with the French side – which has also been one of the reasons Matthijs de Ligt is expected to join the club this summer.

And the two sides have been in discussions recently over right-back Thomas Meunier while Manchester United want to take Adrien Rabiot when his contract expires this summer.

The French midfielder, 26, was born in Lagny-sur-Marne, a suburb in eastern Paris so a return to his hometown would surely be a major draw when deciding on his next move.

MAN UNITED might finally get the £150m they want for Paul Pogba.

Real Madrid and Juventus have been heavily linked with the World Cup winner – but are reluctant to spend so much on the Frenchman.

Los Blanocs have told the Red Devils they will only splash £90m on him.

But Paris Saint-Germain have now joined the race and are preparing a bid to tempt United to sell and Pogba to move to Ligue 1.
