OLI SHOULD HAM IT UP
Chelsea's fringe striker Olivier Giroud wold be perfect for West Ham, according to ex-England defender Danny Mills.
French World Cup winner and ex-Arsenal star Giroud 33, reportedly agreed terms with Inter Milan earlier this month but the clubs failed to settle on a transfer fee.
And pundit Mills told Football Insider: “He is a fabulous player and West Ham are on the brink of a little bit of trouble.
“Giroud can hold the ball up, [with] his out-and-out quality. This move all depends on what Giroud wants.
EDIN FOR LOAN?
Chelsea have made a loan bid for PSG record-scorer Edinson Cavani, reports say.
The Times suggest the Blues are willing to pay £5milion plus the 32-year-old Uruguay legend's full weekly wages of £360,000 in a deal lasting until the summer.
Stamford Bridge boss Frank Lampard wants urgent back-up for main frontman Tammy Abraham.
TELLES ABOUT HIM
Chelsea will reportedly challenge Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Porto left-back Alex Telles.
The Brazilian's contract runs until 2021 meaning the Portuguese side could be willing to sell now or in the summer to avoid losing Telles for free in 18 months time.
This has alerted French champions PSG as well as Chelsea with manager Frank Lampard yet to be convinced by either Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri.
Chelsea's search for a left-back has also seen Leicester's Ben Chilwell and Valencia's Jose Luis Gaya linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
MUM DENTS BLUES' CAV HOPES
Frank Lampard faces the mother of all battles to land striker Edinson Cavani.
The Paris Saint-Germain star’s mum has now weighed into the tug of war between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid to sign her son.
Berta Gomez said: “It’s complicated but he wants to play at Atletico and if it’s not now, in the summer.
“We have been eager for some time but it doesn’t depend on my son but on PSG and Atletico Madrid.
“We understand their position but what we don’t understand is that they want him to stay and then they only bring him out for six minutes.
“They are not treating him well considering what he has given to PSG in the almost seven years he has been there.”
BLACKMAN AND BAKER RETURN
Jamal Blackman is on the move again.
The goalkeeper has been recalled from an injury-hit spell with Vitesse Arnhem and will play for League One side Bristol Rovers for the rest of the season.
Blackman, 26, joined Chelsea as an under-13, winning the FA Youth Cup and under-21 league title while in the academy and has enjoyed successful loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Sheffield United.
Lewis Baker, 24, has also returned from a loan spell at Bundesliga outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he made nine appearances.
