A hard-working postman was given a good laugh on his rounds when he spotted a note with a humorous typo stuck to a door.
The letter asked that any parcels be dropped in the designated “safe place” if there was no answer when he rang the doorbell.
And, the home owner had nominated their enclosed porch as the best spot to leave the package, but accidentally misspelled an innocent word.
The typo meant that the meaning of the note changed drastically.
Under the “additional information” section, the instructions said: “Please ring bell after pooping in porch.

Oo-er, we’re not sure that’s what the resident really wants…
The chuckling postal worker shared a snap of the note in the Reddit sub-forum CasualUK.
He captioned the photo: “As a postie I'll go above and beyond for you, but this, this is new.”
The post was liked almost 600 times by fellow Brits who saw the funny side of the mistyped note.
One person joked: “Well instructions are instructions.
“S*** away my good fellow.”

“New meaning to postman pat,” added another.
While a third said: “I’m not sure that's the special delivery they were expecting.”
When asked if he had followed the instructions, the postie replied: “I was sorely tempted, but then their kids answered the door.
“Could've been doubly awkward!”
To which someone joked: “Mum, the postman hasn't s*** on the porch like you asked!”
And, upon questions about the “inflight information” note, another postman explained what it was all about, they said: “Former postie here.
“Every round has a ring binder full of useful information (or at least it did 10 years ago).
“This has information on who has dangerous dogs, doesn't want door to doors (that stuff that comes from Domino's and the like), and most importantly where the nearest toilet stops are.”
