Mum, 24, dies suddenly leaving two babies behind – and family’s hearts shattered

A young mum-of-two died from an apparent cardiac arrest, aged 24 – leaving kids of just 18 months and 22 weeks without a mother.

Nicole Foad was at home in north Kent when she began struggling to breathe leaving her partner's mum desperately performing CPR through direction from a 999 call handler.

When paramedics arrived they spent two hours trying to save Nicole's life but their efforts were in vain and she never regained consciousness.

The mum, from Whitstable, had spent a full day on Thursday, February 6, with her children 18-month-old Tahlia and Teddy, 22 weeks, while boyfriend Robert was at work.

On getting home, he quickly changed and left to play football, with Nicole staying behind with her sister Anna Peacock and Robert's mum, Debbie, reports Kent Live.

Friend Kerry Turner said: "What happened was trauma beyond any stretch of imagination, and paramedics [from an] air ambulance fought to save Nicole, for over two hours, in the family home, with her family watching on but it was in vain."

Kerry, who has gone on to set up a fundraiser for the family, went on to say: "Debbie did all the correct things needed to be done, with the medics guiding her via telephone.

"CPR was executed exactly as it should be.

She continued: "And so this young, devoted vibrant and graceful little lady passed away."

"There could not have been a more sweeter, kinder, or humble soul than Nic, who was just happy with her lot," she added.

Kerry said Nicole and Robert were an "extremely close couple" and were "both doted on their two young children".

Further tributes have flooded in following the tragic death, including Anna, who took to Facebook the following day.

"Last night the most heartbreaking thing happened.

"My little sister passed away.

"Why is life so unfair. My heart is broken into a million pieces.

"You were the most amazing sister, auntie, daughter, and most of all amazing mummy.

"I will always be there for Teddy and Taliah, we all will.

"I just wanna see you and hear your voice. I love you so much," she added.
