If you’ve followed Mrs Hinch since her rise to fame, you’ll know that the star is never without her bouncy blowdry and waist-length extensions. Despite her busy schedule, the queen of clean always seems to look glamorous, and is often armed with flawless make-up and perfectly styled hair.

But this week the star ditched her trademark lengthy locks for a shorter style – just in time for lockdown.

Mrs Hinch’s Instagram Stories show she was one of the lucky few to nab one last salon appointment before the nationwide second lockdown started and hair salons were forced to close doors again.

Before Sophie revealed the finished look, the star teased fans with a clip of her holding a chunk of her extensions – revealing she’d gone for a shorter style.

“Well, goodbye long hair,” she wrote. “Back to short for the winter."

Mrs Hinch then posted a before shot showing her super long hair before the transformation.

Shortly afterwards, the star shared a snap of her new hair – a shoulder-length style featuring some stunning blonde highlights.

“What do you think guys?” she asked her fans.

“I’ve gone blonder and A LOT shorter!”

The star is usually seen sporting darker roots with long blonde extensions, but for winter, Sophie has ditched the darker look for a blonder, shorter style.

We love Mrs Hinch’s new look – which will of course be a lot easier to manage over the lockdown period.

According to experts, opting for a shorter style, a layered look or a balayage, is the best way to keep your hair looking great between appointments.

The star tagged the hair salon responsible for her hair transformation, Feathers Chelmsford, who like all hairdressers, will be shutting shop for four whole weeks.

“I’ll be thinking of your salon this month, and promise to be back as soon as you’re open,” Mrs Hinch wrote.

“To everyone in the beauty industry, I hope you all know how appreciated you are.”
