Isla Fisher is the mom of three young children shared with husband Sacha Baron Cohen. But don’t expect to see them on her social media pages.
The “Godmothered” star, 45, explained in a new interview why she and and Baron Cohen, 49, agree to keep their kids — 13-year-old Olive, 10-year-old Elula and 6-year-old Montgomery — out of the public eye.
“Motherhood is actually my favorite topic but I keep it private,” Fisher told Marie Claire Australia as she explained how social media has made parenting harder.
“I think all parents are trying to protect their kids, especially in the social media age,” she said. “I want our children to have a normal childhood — being able to play outside without pressure or scrutiny.”
Fisher continued, “All kids have the right to just be kids and I would never sell a film or magazine by speaking about [mine].”
The “Wedding Crashers” star is currently living in Australia. She touched on what it’s like moving back to her home country.
“I feel like I can be myself in Australia,” Fisher said. “I love the people. I love the colors and the sights and the taste and the smells. And there’s something about being home which is just … it feels very magical.”
