Savvy mum upcycled an old battered chair for just £10 – saving hundreds on a new one

BEING savvy with your furniture can help you save thousands of pounds, but knowing what and how to do it can be the difficult part.

‘Cloud’ furniture is super on-trend at the minute, with many retailers selling chic sofas and armchairs.

Also known as ‘teddy bear’ material, these sofas are super soft and are perfect for cold, winter nights.

But unfortunately, these gorgeous furniture buys don’t come cheap and many of us aren’t willing to dish out thousands of pounds for them.

These sofas often range from £2,000 to a whopping £10,000 for a sofa.

However, a mum-of-one posted her cloud sofa transformation to TikTok and it’s safe to say, it’s very impressive.

Posting to her account ‘mrsmiller_x’ the video is captioned ‘Upcycled on a £10 budget’.

In the video we see Mrs Miller’s old, tatty chair that is in some serious need of TLC.

Mrs Miller revealed that she got the chair for free on Facebook marketplace and with just £10 was able to completely transform it.

And with a teddy bear piece of fabric, a staple gun and a hot glue gun, she was able to completely alter the look and feel of her chair, making it look brand new.

Mrs Miller revealed that she bought the material online and ‘just typed in Boucle material’ to Google to find it.

We think the chair looks amazing and we can’t believe she did it for just £10.

Clearly this video has impressed numerous people as it has racked up a whopping 29.6k views.
