As would be expected, Kate Middleton has been spotted in expensive jewels during her time. She has even had the honour of wearing The Nizam of Hyderabad Necklace, the most expensive jewel in the Queen’s collection. But she is also partial to a bargain.

Daena Borrowman, marketing manager at jewellerybox, told Express.co.uk: “The magnificent Nizam of Hyderabad Necklace, considered to be the most expensive piece of royal jewellery in the world, is worth more than £66million.”

Kate was spotted wearing this extravagant piece of jewellery in 2014 at The Portrait Gala.

Daena added: “For the average Brit, a piece of this value is quite literally out of reach, with the average Brit having to work more than 2,000 years to afford it!”

Kate also boasts the late Diana’s engagement ring, worth approximately £150,000 according to Jeweller Susannah Lovis, as reported by Marie Claire.

However, Kate fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as much of her jewellery collection is affordable for non-royals.

Kate has frequently been seen in gold fern hoop earrings from Zoraida, and for those who want to recreate her look, it shouldn’t set them back more than £150.

She reportedly wore these when she attended the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

Kate has been spotted in gold fern drop earrings, also from Zoraida.

She wore these on her “Five Big Questions” tour to Northern Ireland, and in numerous video calls, including one for Children’s Hospice Week, all in 2020.

For those who admire the Duchess’ style and want to treat themselves or a loved one, this staple piece can be dressed up or down.

For an even more inexpensive find, Kate has been known to enjoy the high street brand Accessorize.

Kate’s Polly Petal Drop Earrings, which she paired with a printed Sandro dress, made an appearance during her visit to her Back to Nature garden in 2019.

The elegant pink earrings were sold for a mere £8, and unsurprisingly, quickly sold out.

When they are back in stock, they are the perfect pair of cheap earrings to add to your Kate collection.

She dipped into her trusty Accessorize collection once more in March 2020 when she visited the Museum of Literature in Dublin.

The Duchess opted for their delicate Twisted Circle Drop Earrings.

Earlier this year she wore them again during a video call with a family who were supported by the Shout 85258 text service, a messaging service for those suffering with their mental health.

But affordable earrings don’t have to be dainty and elegant: they can also make a statement.

During a visit to the Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar in Dublin in March 2020, Kate was seen in large dangly gold earrings from H&M, and while they were striking and bold, they reportedly cost less than £8.

Royal fans can recreate Kate Middleton’s iconic jewellery looks without breaking the bank.
