Mum transforms unused conservatory into lockdown bar and people think it's genius

WE'RE less than one week into lockdown – and we don't know about you, but we're SERIOUSLY missing the pub right about now.

And one couple who know a little something about this are Joanne Easthope and Chalky White.

Posting on the Facebook group DIY on a Budget Official, the savvy pair revealed how they transformed their unused conservatory into a bar for lockdown.

Joanne wrote: "We've been in our home for six years and inherited a conservatory that we never used. So welcome to our lockdown bar!"

After clearing out the room, Joanne purchased a second-hand bar from eBay and added some glass shelves behind it.

She then decorated the room with fake plants, a framed Budwiser print and added some black leather bar stools too.

For the ceiling, Joanne and Chalky added some colour-changing LED strip lights they bought for £67 on Amazon.

But while there's a lot to admire about this lockdown bar, our personal favourite thing about it is the genius name – "The Staying Inn".

Needless to say, the couple's lockdown bar has been a hit on the group and racked up over 5,500 "likes".

One replied: "Love this! Feels like a holiday abroad."

Another added: "Looks lush! Just in time for the weekend."

A third gushed: "Better than any pub – stay as long as you want! Happy drinking."

For more amazing home transformations, this woman transformed her drab and dated kitchen for just £20 – and people are amazed by how different it looks.

And this woman completely revamped her VERY 90s red kitchen tiles in one afternoon using just a £16 paint.

Plus this mum created an incredible jungle room for her son using B&M and Aldi bargains.
