JLS’s JB Gill on growing up in Antigua, embracing fatherhood and living with one regret – The Sun

THE singer, 32, was in JLS before they split in 2013. He now owns a farm and presents on cBeebies.

Here, he answers Fabulous' pressing questions, like who he would invite to a dinner party and what's the top of his bucket list.

What scares you?

Snakes. They’re much quicker than humans.

What is your favourite word?

Probably “perfect”.

What’s your worst habit?

I’m quite messy. I always have to get to the point where I’m like: “Right this needs tidying now!” Rather than doing it as I go.

Who or what is the love of your life?

My wife Chloe [Tangney, 31] and my two children Ace, five, and Chiara, one.

Who would you invite to a dinner party?

Meghan and Harry, Michael Jackson, Will Smith and Bill Gates.

How often do you have sex?

Often enough!

Who makes you laugh the most?

Probably my wife or my little boy Ace. Ah, man, he just doesn’t stop. He is hilarious.

What makes you angry?

When I’m tired I can be snappy. Anything can just tip me over the edge at that point.

Leave or remain?

Remain. The UK has always been so strong in its relationships and so influential.

All-time favourite movie?

Gladiator, Forrest Gump or Bad Boys II.

Favourite TV shows as a child?

Sharky & George, Thunderbirds and Captain Planet.

Who was your first kiss?

I was 13 and it was a girl called Chloe after a disco. Not my wife Chloe, though!

What is your biggest regret?

I used to play the flute and piano at London’s Centre for Young Musicians, but gave it up at 14 because I went into playing rugby. When I came back to music I wished I’d carried on.

If you could travel back in time, where would you go?

Back to my school days. I loved school!

What is your earliest memory?

Growing up in Antigua in the Caribbean. My mum was working as a nurse and my dad looked after our horses.

Do you have a pub trick?

I can do The Worm.

What song would you have played at your funeral?

A hymn like Amazing Grace.

What’s the worst pain you’ve experienced?

Playing rugby in South Africa in 2001 when I was 16. I was about to score the try of my life when two South African boys jumped on me and landed on my ankle.

How do you relax?

I like to just chill at home. I don’t get a lot of time to relax though, thanks to the kids.

What has been your greatest achievement?

Other than getting married and having kids, winning two BRITs with JLS.

What’s top of your bucket list?

To visit every country on the F1 schedule.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Michelle Keegan.

What are your best and worst qualities?

I can procrastinate and I have to force myself to do things. But I think I’m a good people person, I’m open-minded and helpful.

Most famous people in your phone?

Tinie Tempah, Niall Horan and Liam Payne.
