I’ve got a unique name – people always say it wrong & there’s no hope at all if they need to spell it | The Sun

EVERYONE has their own personal preferences when it comes to baby names – with many monikers having the power to really divideopinion.

But one woman's name is so unique, she's revealed she always has to tell people how to say and spell it correctly.

The woman, who is named Syrona, took to Reddit and explained: "I’ve never met anyone with the same name as me and mostly googling myself results in business listings."

People always say it/spell it wrong, it doesn’t bother me, I’m used to correcting them."

She went on to say how she "hated" her name growing up, but noted how that's changed as she's got older.

"Growing up I hated it, I used to wish for a normal name and never found anything personalised with ‘Syrona’ but as an adult I’ve come around to appreciating it a lot more," she commented.

I often get compliments on it, but I also do get met with funny looks sometimes when introducing myself and regularly get asked if it’s foreign and told it’s 'very unique.'"

Syrona went on to ask social forum users whether her name is "weird" – and she wasn't short of answers.
