Getting rid of a bad tattoo is difficult. Getting rid of tattoos that cover all but 5% of your body is practically impossible. Practically.
UK-native Becky Holt says she has “lost count” of how many tattoos she has, but estimates that her body is now 95 percent covered in ink. In fact, Becky is so covered that she’s earned the nickname of “Britain’s Most Tattooed Woman” by local press and frequently shares photos of her ink on her popular Instagram account.
The 33-year-old model-turned-interior designer recently became a mom and recently agreed to cover all her tattoos with thick layers of makeup for a one-day “mumsy” makeover experiment.
“The reaction I get in the public is mixed,” Becky says in a Truly video documenting the transformation. “People say that I’ve ruined myself. That I’ve made a big mistake and don’t look ladylike.”
The judgments are undoubtedly harsh—and obviously unwarranted. But to please the critics—for one day, at least—Becky enlists a professional makeup artists to help cover her ink, making her tattoos virtually disappear.

To complete the “mum” makeover, Holt wears a plain white shirt and mom jeans. Upon seeing her new non-inked look for the first time, Becky’s immediate reaction is to laugh—and then to laugh some more.

“No, no, no,” Becky says while looking at her reflection. “God, no. It’s scaring me. I just think that I look better with tattoos. I don’t recognize that person in the mirror.”
She adds, “I’m definitely confident with my tattoos. I think without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today.”
